Our chef, Zuo, is from Xi’an , the hometown of Terracotta warrior. He is good at northern  dishes , especially noodles and dumplings. And with the same passion he got the western food skills as well. In 2005, he obtained his certificate for cooking. Dana, Zuo’s partner, met him when they were both working in a youth hostel in 2009.For almost 5 years’ preparation, they finally got a chance to have a cafe for their own

 

  One year has passed since they started to run Easy Cafe in 161 Lama Temple Courtyard Hotel. 

The hotel locates in a small, living alley near Lama Temple, and ghost street,famous for delicious food, is just five minutes walking .There are two metro stations within a walking distance,which is very convenient for travelers. The cafe and hotel are decorated in a traditional Chinese style, they offer coffee, tea, western food, also with Chinese-style accommodation with free WiFi. A good choice if you want to have a relaxing time.

 

   There is one more thing that makes Zuo and Dana closer,that is the dumpling feast Zuo prepares for Dana every once a week. Zuo can make dumplings with various shapes and delicious fillings.And they also taught the guests how to cook the dumplings when there happened to be someone who is interested in learning this typical Chinese cooking.

 

   As days passed by, Dana noticed that there are more and more foreigners are interested in learning traditional Chinese cooking, an idea of opening a cooking class came to Dana’s mind. As he told Zuo about this idea, Zuo was so excited, he said that showing our traditional cooking skills and culture to people from all over the world has always been a dream for him.
